Lieberman: Abbas asked personally Israeli officials not to stop Gaza war

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman confessed again that Mahmoud Abbas had asked in person, 15 months ago, Israeli leaders to continue their war on the Gaza Strip until toppling Hamas Movement.

Haaretz newspaper on Thursday quoted Lieberman as saying that despite the fact that Abbas telephoned personally Israeli officials to ask them to continue the Cast Lead military operation against Gaza until routing Hamas, the Palestinian Authority still spread "lies" about Israeli war crimes in Gaza.

Many Israeli officials had already revealed last year that Abbas and some of his aides asked the Israeli government not to stop its war on Gaza before wiping out Hamas.

Meanwhile, Abbas’s security militias continued to kidnap Hmaas activists and rounded up three Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas including leader Yahya Zayoud in the districts of Jenin, Al-Khalil, and Nablus, and issued a two-year imprisonment sentence against the activist in prisoners’ affairs Hasan Al-Zagha, according to a statement issued on Thursday by Hamas in the West Bank.

Abbas’s militias also handed over on Wednesday evening a 26-year-old Israeli female settler who infiltrated into the city of Bethlehem, south of the West Bank.

Israeli newspapers said the PA security coordination office found the settler after she "lost her way" and escorted her to Israeli troops who in turn took her back to her family.
