Sayyed Nasrallah's Speech: Beginning of New Era in Conflict…

Wael Karaki - Hussein Assi

28/05/2010
Two days following the "marine deterrence" speech delivered by Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah in the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Resistance and Liberation, the Israeli enemy kept a "suspicious calm"…

In his latest speech, Sayyed Nasrallah set a new formula that will be adopted in any new war with Israel saying that Hezbollah will attack Israel-bound ships if the Zionist entity imposed a sea blockade on Lebanon. "When the world will witness how these ships will be destroyed in Palestine's regional water nobody will dare to go there just as they will block (others) from coming to our coasts," his eminence told thousands of supporters on Tuesday.

The Secretary General set a new formula and therefore established a new balance in the conflict, a balance that seems to trouble and to intimidate the Israeli leaders, who simply became "speechless" and started reconsidering all their choices before it becomes too late…

No matter what, one thing is sure and certain. What was intact before May 25, 2010, wouldn't be the same after May 25, 2010. Indeed, intentionally or unintentionally, Sayyed Nasrallah declared in the tenth anniversary of the humiliating Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon the beginning of a new stage in the conflict, the launch of a serious stage that would lead to the promised glory…

A NEW BALANCE OF TERROR…

According to the director of the center of strategic facts and studies Imad Fawzi Chouaibi, the speech delivered by Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah on Tuesday can be summarized with one word: the announcement of a new balance of terror in the region.

Chouaibi told Al-Manar website that the speech has set a new balance built on the fact that the Israeli enemy wasn't anymore distinguished or superior, whether militarily or technologically. He stressed that the Resistance now faces all the technology needed to face the enemy who used to laud its "superiority."

Chouaibi emphasized that Sayyed Nasrallah's speech was, in itself, a clear message delivered by the Zionists telling them that the Resistance wasn't anymore a usual Resistance but became a Resistance with a force which is equivalent to the Israeli army. "The Resistance takes part in this war from its huge strategic position, not as a militia or a gang but as an organized army which hides a lot that would only be covered in the war," he added.

The expert pointed out that the real strength of the Resistance lies in its high secrecy which makes it strong in the face of a considerable enemy like the Israeli one. He said that Sayyed Nasrallah wanted to respond to the fabricated story of Scud by announcing the possession of another sort of weapons that makes it possible to attack Israel-bound ships, emphasizing that the possession of Scud missiles contradicts with the fighting faith of Hezbollah given that the Scud needs fixed positions, which is not possible with the Resistance's tactics.

Chouaibi told Al-Manar website that Sayyed Nasrallah has raised the degree of the challenge and increased the exhaustion of the enemy's forces. "Whenever Sayyed Nasrallah speaks this way, this means that Israel has entered an exhaustion war that would end catastrophically. The enemy will raise the alertness level and this would be very expensive."

WAR OF BRAINS JUST STARTED…

For his part, Palestinian writer and political analyst Nasser Al-Lahham told Al-Manar website that the latest speech made by Sayyed Nasrallah turned the conflict from a psychological war to a war of brains and nerves.

According to Lahham, the speech of Sayyed Nasrallah was new at all levels. "This is an unprecedented speech that entered to the Arab Larousse for the first time the notion of marine response, a concept that was never present in the Arab armies thinking," he said, adding that the speech would pave the way for analyzes of the new balances in the region.

Lahham spoke to Al-Manar website about the repercussions of the speech within the Palestinian scene and said that Palestinians felt comfortable after Sayyed Nasrallah's speech, a speech that increased hope of complete victory and liberation, pointing out that Palestinians know that Sayyed Nasrallah is aware of all his words and that they believe that his eminence is honest in every word he says.

Asked about the reactions within the Israeli media following Sayyed Nasrallah's speech, Lahham noted that the Zionist military supervision unit prevented Israeli media from analyzing the speech and commenting on it. According to him, Israel suffers schizophrenia because at one hand it claims to protect democracy at the other it seeks to confiscate the opinions. Yet, he expected reactions to appear within days and to change the general picture.

TO CONCLUDE…
One can say a lot of things about the unique speech made by Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, alongside the new balances and formulas…

Yet, one thing is certain…

The speech was not set just to celebrate a glorious day in the history of the Resistance. Instead, it was a declaration of the beginning of a new stage in the Israeli-Arab conflict, a stage entitled: "Resistance is becoming stronger and stronger," stronger to the degree that terrifies its enemy!
