OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Commander of the Israeli home front extended, for another four weeks, the military order banning Sheikh Raed Salah, leader of the Islamic movement in 1948 Palestine, from entering Jerusalem.

The original military order was taken in accordance with the so called Emergency Law used during the British occupation of Palestine and banned Sheikh Salah from entering Jerusalem for six months.

The extension of the ban came only two days before expiry of the original military order. The ban has now been extended till the 29 July, with scope for a three month extension, and came with a map showing the areas which Sheikh Salah is banned from entering.

Responding to these Zionist measures, the Islamic movement in 1948-occupied Palestine issued a statement in which it said that these occupation military orders are null and void and Sheikh Salah reserves his right to enter Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque when he likes and as necessity dictates.

The movement spokesman, Zahi Njeidat spoke of the strong spiritual ties that link Sheik Salah and Muslims worldwide to Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque adding that Zionists do not have the means to neutralise such sacred ties.
