Saida Triumphs… as Capital of Resistance!

Hussein Assi
It's Saida, the capital of the South and its main gate...
It's Saida, a city not like others, a city with a national history and heritage. It's where the principle of Resistance against the Zionist entity actually started, and from where heroic battles were launched.
The "capital of the Resistance" is, however, facing multiple challenges at this stage from some "phenomena" seeking to tarnish its image and, basically, its role. Yet, Saida factions made it clear: Saida will not surrender, Saida will not become an anti-Resistance base, no matter what they say and do...

WHEN SAIDA FACED CONSPIRACY...
Once again, Saida faced the "conspiracy" and triumphed. The latest one in the series took place during the last few weeks, when a so-called anti-Resistance open sit-in was organized. The declared "goals" were disarming the Resistance to "safeguard dignity and honor". However, the real "goals" were quickly uncovered: sowing strife and entangling the city in a Western "suspicious" project. But, according to Sheikh Maher Hammoud, the imam of Al-Quds mosque, the whole region, not only Saida, is targeted. "There are attempts to change the identity, loyalty, and direction of the region as a whole," Sheikh Hammoud told moqawama.org.
Yet, his eminence admitted that Ahmad Al-Assir "phenomenon" was remarkable in Saida, perhaps for being a first of its kind, at least from the man's audacity perspective.

Sheikh Hammoud said that such movements came as a result of the events taking place in the region in general and Syria in particular, and highlighted that the Syrian crisis motivated some "sectarian feelings" which were either repressed or marginal for a period of time.

While speaking of some sides exploiting such feelings according to their interests, his eminence warned of sides seriously working to sow a Sunni-Shiite sedition at the level of the region.
The Al-Quds mosque Imam stressed that Al-Assir sit-in actually wore a negative impact on Al-Assir himself and his supporters at the first sight. "Any sane and reasonable human being who listens to Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, understands his logic and perceives his analyses, including his latest one about the weapons and their role in the balance, and then listens to Al-Assir's insults, will spontaneously choose the path of the Resistance".
UNITY... MORE THAN POWER

For Sheikh Maher Hammoud, sectarianism stands behind everything. That's it. What happened in Saida recently was not innocent. It comes in the framework of the "conspiracy" targeting the whole region. Sedition schemes are not anymore a secret, these have become a non-hidden reality.
"Sheikh Hammoud: The goal is Sowing strife and entangling Saida in a Western suspicious project. There are attempts to change the identity, loyalty, and direction of the region as a whole"
However, to face these schemes spread throughout the region, one power should be kept. It is unity, and here unity refers to all kinds of unity, from national unity to unity of the position, unity of the vision. "This is self-evident," Sheikh Hammoud told moqawa.org. "Without this unity, nothing can be achieved," his eminence added.
The prominent cleric emphasized that unity is the secret behind toppling all hegemony projects and plans. Actually, the unity which was represented in Saida against Al-Assir's phenomenon proved this fact. It's only when Saida became united against all those who seek to tarnish its image and end its historic role that the conspiracy was ended.

"Saida will remain the Resistance capital," Sheikh Hammoud asserted in conclusion.
Recalling that Saida deserved this classification thanks to the role it has always played against the Zionist enemy, given that it was named the Resistance's capital when it was under occupation and offered respectful resistance experiences, Sheikh Hammoud said that the future will prove that Saida will even be the capital of the Resistance more than ever.

SAIDA... CAPITAL OF THE RESISTANCE

That's it. Saida will never abandon its role as the capital of the Resistance. This message, carried by Sheikh Maher Hammoud, was previously raised by the city's former lawmaker Oussama Saad, the leader of the Nassirite Popular Front, who made it clear that Saida will never be an anti-Resistance city, regardless of all "suspicious" attempts.

Sheikh Hammoud told moqawama.org that those who are steeped in the illusions will not be able to understand this rhetoric, and would classify it as propaganda. "Yet, with time, everything will be clear. One day, something will happen and will prove that they were mistaken"...
