Zionist Settlers Shoot Two Palestinians in West Bank

Two Palestinians were injured on Thursday as Zionist settlers opened fire in the northern West Bank in two separate incidents.

Palestinian security forces and witnesses said two Palestinian youths were injured as settlers opened fire on them in two West Bank neighborhoods.

In the first incident, Tariq al-Safadi, 22, was hit in the leg and taken to hospital in Nablus after he was playing with a group of Palestinians in the snow when settlers opened fire at them.

The second incident occurred in Qusra, another northern West Bank village, when settlers from the Esh Kodesh settlement atatcked the area, witnesses and security sources said.

Local youths threw stones and snowballs at the settlers, who responded with gunfire, wounding 18-year-old Ammar Masameer. Security sources said he was also hit in the leg, and was taken to hospital in Nablus.

The Israeli occupation military confirmed "clashes" between Palestinians and Israeli settlers in the two locations, but claimed it had no information on settler gunfire or Palestinian casualties.

"We have no reports of injuries," An Israeli army spokeswoman told Agence France Presse as she confirmed “confrontation in the two locations.
