Damascus Recalls Mustafa Badreddine: A Hero Who Defended Syria

Politicians, scholars, and people gathered in Damascus on Saturday to offer condolences over the martyrdom of Hezbollah senior Jihadi leader, Mustafa Badreddine (Sayyed Zulfiqar).
Syrian Information Minister, stressed that martyr Badreddine and all the martyrs of the resistance, the Syrian Arab army and Syria’s friends had firmly defended Syria and its right.Badreddine commemoration in Damascus
Speaking during a ceremony held at the al-Muhsaniyeh School in Damascus, Minister al-Zoubi reiterated that Syria will remain a united Arab land, and that no scheme in the world, under any title, can lead to dividing it.
“All of those who have believed in Syria and stood by it are actually on the side of justice, as we have never attacked anyone or committed killings, beheadings or rape against anyone, but the others have done all of that,” the Syrian minister said, according to SANA.
Al-Zoubi saluted the soul of martyr Badreddine and extended greetings to his family, the resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah Party and its Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
Hezbollah announced on Friday that Sayyed Zulfiqar was martyred in a blast near Damascus international airport.  Later on Saturday, the resistance party said tha balast was caused by Takfiri groups’ artillery shelling.
For his part, Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun said “Syria, its people and leadership will not forget Badreddine and will not forget his honesty and steadfastness.”
Chairman of Hezbollah’s Political Council, Sayyed Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyed, delivered a speech on behalf of Sayyed Nasrallah in which he expressed great appreciation for Syria, considering that the martyrdom of Commander Badreddine is a “sign of victory”.
